Who we are looking for…

We are really friendly team-oriented staff, looking someone who is upbeat, bubbly and happy to get on board. We need someone that is great at communication and friendly with customers. An eye for detail and keeping things clean and tidy. You should not be afraid of getting dirty, if dealing with cleaning the smoker or tidying the kitchen garden. An interview will also include a trial shift on a Friday or Saturday night.

Potential positions when available are: a first-class front of house all-rounder available for Friday and Saturday nights. The successful applicant should be great at multi-tasking front of house while also assisting the kitchen in duties such as clearing dishes and running the dishwasher. We need someone that is great at communication and friendly with customers. Applicants need their RSA as we’re licensed to sell alcohol. Previous experience is preferred but great attitude and personality are what’s important!

As well as a part-time chef to work with a small team of creative individuals to expand the evening dining experience at Smokey Jake’s Neighbourhood BBQ. The successful applicant should have significant experience running a kitchen, which includes prep work, organising stock, supervising assistants and kitchen hands, and great communication skills to work with the front of house staff be able to deliver genuine hospitality. It would be advantageous if the applicant had experience and knowledge of American-style BBQ and southern cuisine, including the running and maintenance of a smoker.
